Inspired by your writing David , " I trust my skill and ability to navigate the unknown ". Like a skilled sailor on the sea. Not knowing what's coming next , yet confident in his learned and tested ability to navigate no matter the weather 🙏 Thank you.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for your thoughtful question — you’ve touched on something vital here.

Yes, the flip begins exactly as you've described: by gently and honestly asking, “Why am I choosing to believe I’m not good enough?” This question helps you shift from being passively trapped in the belief to actively inquiring into its roots — which almost always come from your Inner Child.

The Inner Child accepted this belief as truth at some point, often as a strategy to stay safe, gain approval, or avoid rejection. The flip helps you move from that old misunderstanding into alignment with your Shen spirit — the truthful, balanced, and unconditioned part of you that knows you are more than enough.

But don’t stop at the question — listen carefully to the answers that arise. Gently challenge them. Ask, Is this really true? Where did I first hear this? What would I say to a loved one who believed this about themselves?

This is how you expose the illusion and begin to live from your truth, not your programming.

You're already walking the path with great courage, Dan. Keep going.

Kind Regards,

David

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful insight, and what a powerful image. Yes, just like the skilled sailor, we don’t need to control the sea, only trust our inner compass and hard-won wisdom to steer through whatever arises. That quiet confidence, built on lived experience and truth, is at the heart of wu wei.

The unknown loses its power when we stop resisting it and instead embrace our ability to navigate it. I'm truly honoured that the words resonated with you in this way.

Kind Regards, David.

Hi David , I'm trying to understand the flip fully. If I discover that I have the belief that "I'm not good enough" does this mean I can flip it by asking "why am I choosing to believe I'm not good enough". Thank you for any guidance. Dan 🙏
